The white snow is too late for spring, so
there are flying flowers flying through the trees in the garden.
Although the real spring has not yet arrived, the white snow can't wait any longer, and it is fluttering and making up its own spring scenery. The future of real spring is certainly a bit regretful, but doesn’t the spring snow that flies through the trees and flowers still give people the breath of spring? The poet's long-awaited worries about spring suddenly turned into joy. The whole poem is exquisitely conceived, bringing out new ideas from common scenes, and is ingenious and unique.
Spring Snow--Han Yu
Spring Snow
Han Yu
The New Year is not yet youthful,
Early February Surprised to see grass sprouts.
The white snow is too late for spring, so
there are flying flowers flying through the trees in the garden.
Explanation of the poem
The New Year has arrived, but I have not yet seen the fragrant flowers. It was not until February that I was pleasantly surprised to find green buds sprouting from the grass. The white snow seems to be unable to bear the belated arrival of spring, and it actually spreads and scatters flying flowers among the trees in front of the courtyard.
Word explanation
New Year: refers to the first day of the first lunar month.
So: intentionally.
