Chengdu Christian Enguang Church, formerly known as the Evangelical Church of the Anglo-American Church, 1933 was renamed the Sishengci Chapel, located at No.4 Shengci North Street 17, Jinjiang District. Its predecessor was the Canadian Methodist Church, and it has a history of 1 10 years. It is the oldest and best-preserved open church in Chengdu. The existing church has a history of more than 80 years, which is a church with relatively concentrated believers in the city and suburban counties. Designed and supervised by missionary and architect Su Jixian, it is a Bavarian church in Germany. The church covers an area of more than 3,000 square meters, with a usable area of 1200 square meters and a height of about 18 meters. 1980 after the implementation of the policy of freedom of religious belief, the relevant departments renovated the church and officially reopened it on New Year's Day of 1989.
On May 2, 20 18, Chengdu Municipal People's Government announced that it was the sixth batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Chengdu.
