When reading the book Heart: kazuo inamori's Life Entrustment (hereinafter referred to as Heart), I always think of this sentence of Wang Yangming. This sentence is full of poetry and painting, but it tells the Zen machine of the heart.
As we all know, kazuo inamori's Living Law is a long-term bestseller. As a sequel to The Living Method, this final work, Heart, embodies his philosophy and wisdom all his life, and expounds the truth of this "heart" in Daohuaxiang, that is, everything in the world begins in the heart and ends in the heart. First of all, about what the heart is, one of the translators said that he had asked young Japanese monks and abbots in temples. The master replied that the heart is in the whole body, and every cell is a heart. "Truth, goodness and beauty" is the essence of "conscience" in kazuo inamori's psychology, and its core is "true self", that is, honesty, self-motivation, modesty, introspection, gratitude, contentment, altruism, optimism and courage. 1, well-intentioned motivation is the key.
Mr. kazuo inamori mentioned the story of a paper bag merchant when he was a child. Later, he learned that nothing was smooth when he was a child. Only the paper bag business has succeeded, because the paper bag business is dedicated to helping and protecting the family, and almost all others are for themselves. Therefore, "good intentions" is the key. The motivation of goodwill is altruism, which is the correct behavior on the road to success.
2. Altruism is the cornerstone of success
In the third year of Mr. kazuo inamori's business, the company had more than a dozen employees who had graduated from high school for one year, and all of them had to resign. This prompted him to think about the significance of the existence of the company. After talking with these employees for three days and nights, Mr. kazuo inamori came to the conclusion that the company exists not to realize his personal ambition, but to protect the lives of employees and bring them a happy life. This is the mission of the company and the significance of enterprise management.
The loved one is back, and the blessed one is back. Kazuo inamori mentioned the factory director who was rescued more than 30 years ago. After more than ten years, the person in charge stood in the position of helping others, and he especially felt the incredible fate.
This kind of altruism is the heart of the ancients. Fan Zhongyan's famous sentence, "Worry about the world first, and enjoy the world later", poetically expresses his political proposition and noble sentiment that he does not care about personal gains and losses, but takes the world as his own responsibility.
A contented person is rich.
Mr. kazuo inamori mentioned a story in his mind. After two or three years of farming on one piece of land in Africa, the local people will continue to sow and harvest on the next piece of land. After two or three years of continuous farming, it will move to the next field, and so on. Once a guest came, the villagers said, "There is a shortage of food this year." It turns out that there are too many tourists, and every time the village takes out delicious food for everyone to eat, the local people's own rations are not enough. The visitor asked:
"If there is not enough food, why not burn more crops and cultivate more?"
The elders in the village replied, "This is not allowed by God."
Because they know that if the forest is burned without restriction, it will destroy the regenerative ability of nature. People living in the primitive environment understand the golden mean of "contentment" and nature has given us a "contented" lifestyle.
Kazuo inamori knew the wisdom of altruism and contentment. He said that property is not his personal property, but something entrusted to him temporarily by society. So I used my private property to set up the kazuo inamori Consortium, and its fund operated the Kyoto Prize to give back to the society.
Furthermore, how to improve the mind?
After understanding the essence of the heart, Mr. kazuo inamori summed up six feasible ways to train from his personal experience, which became the "Six Diligences". The difference is to work as hard as others. Modesty is not proud. Reflect every day. To live is to be grateful.
Accumulate kindness and think of others. Don't be emotionally troubled. We can understand this "six diligence" from three aspects.
1, you can touch the "cosmic truth" by burying your head in work.
Kazuo inamori said in the book Heart that when the mind is in a pure state, people can touch the so-called "universal truth", which is the essence of things. The best way to keep your mind pure is to bury yourself in your work. When you put your heart and soul into your work, your distractions disappear and you approach a state of "no self". Once there is no self, it will touch the truth of the universe and get close to the essence of things.
This is a magical way of thinking, and you will never understand the mystery without personal experience. Fortunately for the author, many years ago, a practice of changing mentality has continued to this day, that is, from "having me" to "not having me". What is gained from it is full of surprises.
Be grateful for good or bad.
If you want to live a good life, all you need is pure wisdom. One is gratitude and the other is modesty.
Mr. kazuo inamori mentioned in Heart that when he is full of complaints about his situation, nothing goes smoothly. But when I began to accept my fate and made up my mind to devote myself to my work, my life changed from headwind to downwind.
So Mr. kazuo inamori summed up the secret of realizing a happy life, that is, be grateful for good or bad. Be prepared in your mind so that "thank you" can blurt out at any time.
Joy and gratitude can eliminate bad karma. Don't be afraid of disaster. When disaster comes, it's time to hone your mind. We should respond positively and be grateful. This is an opportunity to get rid of the bad karma we suffered in the past, and then we can take a new step.
Therefore, to be alive, we should be grateful, not arrogant, and have a humble heart. Modesty is the amulet of a happy life. Mr. kazuo inamori believes that our own talents and abilities are by no means our own private things, they are just given by accident and should be owned by the world and society. After realizing this, we won't be arrogant. Therefore, always be grateful, modest and self-disciplined, and good luck will come naturally.
There is a cloud in the Book of Changes: Modesty benefits the great river. That's what I said.
3. Accumulate good deeds and think about altruism
Mr. kazuo inamori insists on the "right path" of being a man as the source of management. This "right path" is the temperament he inherited from his father and mother. His father's caution and sincerity, his mother's optimism and kindness gave kazuo inamori the "backbone" to take the right path. This right path can be summarized as "accumulate good deeds and make others think".
It is a kind of kindness to work hard, not forget gratitude, and remain modest and honest, which is a kind of kindness with altruistic motivation. When Mr. kazuo inamori practices the "right path", many people will laugh at the opposition and boycott, saying that all children understand the truth, so teach them now. But Mr. kazuo inamori is still making persistent suggestions and reasoning, and will never give up bringing the company back to life. It can be seen that the road to the right path is always full of wind and rain.
There is also an old saying in China: people do good deeds, although the blessing has not arrived, the disaster is far away; People do evil, although the disaster has not arrived, the blessing is far away. This is the wisdom of the "right path". Kazuo inamori knew this wisdom well, and even when he was at the end of his rope, he would stick to "kindness and altruism". It is in line with the will of the universe to hold your head three feet high, and your motives are pure and kind. Why are you afraid of it?

In a word, all success is attributed to altruism, which is an unmistakable and eternal universal law.
Everything is idealistic, everyone's heart is divided into three parts, and what seeds to sow depends on ourselves. If you are arrogant and selfish, your heart will be barren and overgrown with weeds; If you work hard and contribute selflessly, you can reap the flowers and fruits of a happy life.
