Modern Poetry Describing Chang 'an

1. Morning song

A morning with low clouds and thin rain

A rumbling night train passed by.

(Like a seed of love, it sticks out hard)

I recognized you from the crowd at a glance.

(Like green leaves attached to dew)

The train continues westbound, and there is still a long way to go.

The ancient city is still the ancient city, as if nothing had happened and nothing had changed.

But there must be careful people found that:

Someone laid the dream red carpet this morning.

Someone will hold a poor wedding in a foreign land on this beautiful morning.

2. West of Chang 'an

West of Chang 'an

This is a cemetery road.

The sleeping Qin Shihuang, Prince Yide and other seventeen emperors.

Continue his dream of empire.

I don't have a dream, so I will only daydream a little:

Put a pair of silver bracelets on Yue Ming's wrist with a breezy hand.

Put your head in a high bun.

A handsome soldier!
